Comments:  Size of photograph: 152 x 108 mm. - Mackie wrote a number of articles on the Heathery Burn Cave 1861-1864 in Journal of the Ethnological Society, Proceeedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Newcastle, Archaeological Journal. Mackie was the editor of The Geologist (1-7, 1858-1864). Greenwell wrote a longer article on Heathery Burn in Archaeologia Vol. 54, 1894.
