COMMENTS
Comments:  Notes, in ink on 1a and in pencil on 2b, identify the author as Sir James Edward Smith. But he died in 1828. See also the upside down postscript on 2b. Only the addressee is safely identified. A John Gunn was married to one of Turner's daughters. However, Lady Smith, the wife of Sir James Edward Smith, was born Reeve, and hailed from Lowestoft.
