Comments to date:  Captain Freycinet's vessel, "L'Uranie", was wrecked on the Malouines Islands on 13th February 1820. The letter is written later.
Short summary:  About the herbarium built up during the travels of Captain Freycinet on the exploration vessel "L'Uranie". A significant part of these plants have been saved from the vessel's sinking thanks to Gaudichaud. They are of great interest for science and should therefore be published.
