Doubtful attribution. The handwriting seems to be the same as the one on Waller Ms fr-01843, which is supposed to be written by a woman, the midwife Amédée Charrier, according to the spelling and to a pencil note on the top of fol. 1a of the document. The attribution to Charles Charrier is based on a handwritten note obviously coming from the autograph dealer and kept with the present document. This note, however, says that Charles Charrier died in 1855, which makes it impossible for him to be the author of Waller Ms fr-01842, despite the similarity between the handwritings and the signatures. |
