COMMENTS
Comments:  According to the autograph dealer's catalogue, from which Waller has cut out the note corresponding to this document, this letter was written 1759 by a person named Cassart, who died 1758 (sic), to Abraham Gendorft. None of these names can be found whereas there were a Heinrich (Henry) Cossart who was missionary for the Moravian brothers in Herrnhut, and a von Gersdorff who worked for the same religious purpose at the time when the letter was written. With a biographical note on Cossart, written by another hand in German, on fol. 1b.
